CFG Loader with IOS 250?

Hi guys! I just have a very short question here to ask. With CFG loader, is it possible to use a FAT partitioned device with cIOS 250? I am currently using IOS 249, but I’m intending to use 250 with base 57 for COD:MW3. Or is it better just to install a cIOS 249 with base 57 instead?

Minimal Softmod

I would like to soft mod my Wii. I would like some help figuring out what is necessary for what I intend to do. All I want to do is run USB Loader GX 2.3, I want to use Game Channels (shortcuts to games on my hard drive.) I have system menu version 4.3U. I will use Letterbomb to install HBC and install bootmii as IOS, then I’ll install Priiloader from there I have no idea what to do. I have looked at many guides but most seem to focus on installing many apps for many features. I need to know what apps are required to achieve my goal. I do not want more apps than needed. Questions I would like answers to are: which cIOSs do I need, what would I use to install it, ect. Any help would be great thanks!

Hi everyone,

Bottom line is that I made a dump of my SSBB and then put it on my hdd and now it only shows wrist strap menu and now loading before going to a black screen.

I have recently got into the idea of using a 2.0 drive (formatted to a NTFS/WBFS partition split) in order to run backups of my games. I want to do this as hard drive speeds are greater than discs. I tried one of my games (single layer), using wiidumper to dump them and it worked perfectly, (even though WBFS manager says its only 0.33MB when placed on hdd?). I further wanted to use brawl as the loading times on the original just weren’t fast enough. The dump of it was successful and the end file on the hard drive was something like 6gbs. When attempting to run it with USB GX Loader, it shows the wrist strap menu, then goes to now loading and then to a BLACK SCREEN. Man, its unfortunate. I have looked up numerous tutorials, one stating install ios38, (which I did using both CIOS 249 and CIOS 222, which proved useless). Another said to use hermes CIOS 222 and 223 which both showed up successfully. I know the iso is fully functional because it works on dolphin (with lag from the emulator ofcourse). What am I doing wrong? Any feedback would be awesome and I would be very thankful!

ROM Hacking

I have run into a problem when trying to play NES roms on my wii. I have previously hacked the roms and added all kinds of goodies to it. Infinite lives, infinite jumping etc. I have tested these roms on both an emulator for the PC and on my DS and on my droid. They all work fine there so I know that the roms are good. However, when I load them onto the wii the emulator refuses to open the file and all I get is a black screen. I am using the NES emulator from the homebrew channel. Is there one that I can use that is more hacked rom friendly? Does the wii do any crc checking that I need to be aware of?

MW3 update: Game wont load from USBLoader if Ocarina codes "on"

Hello all

Having a problem getting MW3 to load from my HDD using USBLoader. I recently went to play multiplayer and was told I HAD to download an update in order to play multiplayer.

After the download I find that the game freezes on the black "loading" screen if the Ocarina Code is "on" in the options. If I put the Codes to "off" the game loads and plays fine.

Did this new update block players from using codes/hacks?

Is this in the proper forum or should I post in the MW3 Guide thread?

Question about BootMii and Prii/PreLoader combo

My Wii’s boot1 disallows a bootmii installation to boot2. So I installed bootmii as an IOS through HackMii.

Would I be able to restore from brick state by launching bootmii from prii/preloader? (from what I read, it doesn’t seem possible…but remains unclear to me)
If not, is it possible to [softmod] patch boot1 to allow bootmii installation on boot2?

Setup:
SysMenu 4.2U
Boot1(shows as ? in bootmii)
Boot2 is v4
PriiLoader v0.7(r138), which is a modified ver of PreLoader0.30
BootMii v1.3 w/ mini v0.4
